What are the key performance requirements that washing machine bearings need to meet in their design?

Update:02 Jan

Washing machine bearings need to meet multiple key performance requirements in design to ensure that they can operate stably and for a long time under complex working conditions. Bearings must have sufficient load-bearing capacity to cope with the radial and axial loads generated by the washing machine drum or impeller during operation. These loads will cause great pressure on the bearings under high-speed rotation and unbalanced conditions, so the bearings need to have high-strength and high-hardness materials to support their structural stability.
Bearings need to have excellent wear resistance. Frequent rotation and vibration in long-term use of washing machines will cause wear of friction parts, so choosing materials or coatings with low friction coefficients and high wear resistance is an important consideration in design. In addition, in order to extend the service life, bearings also need to show good corrosion resistance in high humidity environments, especially in drum washing machines, where the sealing performance of bearings is particularly important due to direct contact with water.
Washing machine bearings must also meet the requirements of low noise and low vibration. Consumers are paying more and more attention to the quiet performance of washing machines, so in the design, it is necessary to reduce friction and vibration during operation by optimizing the internal structure and lubrication system of the bearings. In addition, a good balance design can reduce vibration during high-speed operation, thereby improving the comfort and user experience of the entire machine.
The sealing performance of the bearing is also one of the key factors. In the working environment of the washing machine, the bearing needs to effectively prevent moisture, dust and detergent from penetrating into the interior, which requires the seal to have an efficient protection function while not affecting the flexible operation of the bearing. The reliability of the seal design is directly related to the service life and performance stability of the bearing.
The bearing also needs to have good lubrication performance to reduce friction and heat generation to ensure long-term and efficient operation. The lubrication system design must be able to maintain the stability of the lubricant under high-speed operation and high-temperature conditions, and avoid lubricant leakage or contamination of surrounding parts.
